Meeting Minutes - July 3, 2008

1) Meeting called to order at 7:08PM

2) Present are Cris Hart, Vern Bruce and Thomas Beutel. No visitors.

3) Motion to approve March 12, 2008 minutes by Cris, 2nd by Thomas. All approve.

7) Reports:

A: Secretary report:

• A1: Website statistics. Readership is steady at 59 visitors per day, on average. Most searched for information is "trains to San Francisco" and "trains in San Francisco"
• A2: Zoo train text was posted at ZooTrain. Pictures need to be filled in.

B: Treasurer's report:

• B1: Account balances are $385.08 in savings and $48.25 in Paypal.

C: President's report:

• C1: Had a roundhouse walkthrough with structural engineer
• C2: Society of Industrial Architecture Conference
• C3: Got a call from Justin Spivey, Tipping * Mar + Associates. Met at SIA conference. Worked on SP Building (1 Market) seismic retrofit. Justin is interested in Bayshore roundhouse.
• C4: Randy Ruiz was present at walkthrough. Without roof, the roundhouse is in danger of falling. Needs temporary shoring.
• C5: October 4 is Brisbane Community Fair. This is the place to launch presentation to the community.
• C6: How do we kickstart a Bayshore Roundhouse project? We need a discussion of vision with interested members. Let's meet again soon with Randy, Justin, etc. (action item)

8) Review of action items

• 8a: Thomas to mail 2 copies of de-accession form back to CSRM with Thank You.
• 8b: Thomas to convert PDF to editable word doc.
• 8c: Thomas to scan CSRM thank you letter.
• 8d: Cris to give Thomas priority of what to update on website.
